Appointment of Eng. Sami Al Makhdoub as CEO of the Real Estate Cluster
Al Nahla Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Eng. Sami bin Abdulaziz Al Makhdoub as Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Cluster (Al Ameen Real Estate Company), marking a strategic step in line with the Group’s ongoing efforts to reinforce institutional infrastructure and enhance executive performance within one of its most vital sectors.
Eng. Al Makhdoub brings with him a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in both the public and private sectors, with a strong footprint in leading and managing landmark development projects in Makkah and Madinah. He has served as CEO of major real estate companies including Knowledge Economic City, Thakher Development Company, Maad International, Mothmerat Holding Group, and Bayt Al-Ijabah Real Estate Development Co. He also played a foundational role in establishing and managing key real estate and consulting firms such as Sanam Real Estate Company, Dor Development, and James Cubitt & Partners. He also served as Deputy Governor of the State Properties General Authority, contributing to national-level efforts to regulate and develop public real estate assets.
In addition, Eng. Al Makhdoub has served on the boards of several prominent national organizations, including the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), the Water Transmission and Technologies Company (WTTCO), and the Real Estate Registration Company, affiliated with the Public Investment Fund (PIF). He also served as a consultant for Al Manakha Urban Development Company and previously chaired the Real Estate Committee at the Madinah Chamber of Commerce. The total built-up area of the real estate projects he has led or overseen exceeds five million square meters, comprising mixed-use developments. His earlier tenure at Bank Albilad provided him with specialized experience in real estate and financial investment management. Academically, he holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with honors from King Saud University, in addition to completing advanced executive programs at Harvard University and Rice University, with international work experience in the United States, Norway, Sweden, and Italy.
